Welcome to ResonEssence Homeopathic Clinic. My name is Kate Stockford Dip.Hom., I am a qualified, practising homeopath and intuitive life coach based in Thames, New Zealand. For over a decade, I've been helping people achieve greater health, happiness, and personal growth through a holistic approach that honours the mind-body connection. I'm passionate about helping you uncover the root cause of your imbalances and guiding you toward a more fulfilling life.

Qualification

My journey with classical homeopathy began at the Auckland College of Classical Homeopathy (ACCH).

It was a 4 year diploma course, for our final year the school had been bought by the South Pacific College of Natural Therapies (SPCNT), which is now the South Pacific College of Natural Medicine (SPCNM).

It sadly, no longer offers any homeopath training. I graduated in 2012.

Qualification

I am also attuned to Reiki Level 2.

Reiki (pronounced "ray-key") is a Japanese energy healing technique where a practitioner places their hands lightly on or over a fully clothed person to channel "universal life energy," promoting deep relaxation, stress reduction, and the body's own healing processes. During a session, recipients often feel warmth or tingling as the practitioner directs energy to balance the body's energy field, leading to feelings of peace, rejuvenation, and improved well-being, with benefits like better sleep and reduced anxiety reported.  

How it works
  • Practitioners use gentle, non-invasive hand positions over the body, often starting at the head and moving down. 
  • The core belief is that low energy leads to stress and illness; Reiki aims to restore high energy by dissolving blockages. 
  • People often feel deeply relaxed, may drift to sleep, and experience warmth, tingling, or nothing at all; practitioners say the lack of sensation doesn't mean it's not working.

  • Origins: 
    Created in Japan by Dr. Mikao Usui in the late 19th century. 
  • Benefits: 
    Aims to reduce stress, anxiety, pain, and improve sleep, often used alongside conventional care. 
  • Complementary Role: 
    May support healing from conditions like anxiety, fatigue, or chronic pain. 
  • Distance Healing: 
    Can also be practiced remotely, as energy transcends the physical plane.
